I had no idea what HPV was until I was diagnosed with it five months ago. I have asked questions, without any answers. Finally tonight, I got a straight answer. I have genital warts and my doctor burned them off. After a long, intense conversation about what I didn't know, I realised that it was a huge possibility that I could transmit it to my current boyfriend. The guy that had transmitted it to me, (my ex) used a condom every single time. I had gotten tested before I met him so I know it was him. I know for a fact that he is sleeping with several woman and is unprotected. I have no way of reaching those girls. I wish I could protect those girls from the hurt it has caused me. I have now learned that I have dysplasia or abnormal cells because of HPV. I just told my boyfriend and we decided to call it quits because we don't want to risk infecting him for the rest of his life. It was the hardest decision I have ever had to make.
