"What about a shot for boys?"

When I was 17, a long time ago, I got married and I also got genital warts (HPV) from my husband who must have gotten them from his previous girlfriend. In the 6 years that I was actively married, I had all sorts of gynecological problems including getting pregnant even though I was using birth control, lots of "bad" pap smears, and getting a big chunk of my cervix removed without anesthesia. Finally, I figured out that I would be better off having sex only with other women. That was over 30 years ago, and in those 30+ years, I have had NO pregnancies and NO venereal diseases and NO cancer of any kind.

In my state, they keep trying to pass a law to force girls to get the HPV shots. Instead, why don't they pass a law that all boys must get it? After all, they are the ones passing HPV around. Really, I don't believe in giving out untested, dangerous virus shots to ANYONE. Beware of "the magic bullet."
